TSMA Teaching Award

The TSMA Trainee Teaching Award is an award that will be given annually by the TSMA to an outstanding resident/fellow pursuing cardiothoracic surgery in recognition of his or her commitment to medical student education and mentorship. Each year, medical students in North America are eligible to nominate a resident or fellow who has demonstrated a remarkable interest in teaching and mentoring medical students — inside or outside of the operating room. From the nominated trainees, the winner will be selected and presented with the award.
